Machine translation
No, we don’t use machine translation. We do use CAT (computer
assisted translation) tools, but only for specific types of documents
and for the first draft of the translation. The translator’s
skill and experience are the tools we rely on. Terminology
We speak your language. And we also understand your area of expertise.
To make absolutely sure, we visit our customers’ premises
and their factories to ensure that we understand what we are translating.
We record definitions, sources and notes on current usage in our
terminology database, which can be filtered by customer or by subject
area.
Translators
We have a team of about 100 translators. We use both translation
graduates and experienced subject-area specialists, including 23
graduate engineers, doctors and physicists, who specialise in translation.
Quality control system
At Team Übersetzer Tanner & Partner we have developed
a quality control system that helps us analyse the quality of the
work our translators deliver, monitor the progress of translations
and identify any factors that could affect the quality. So we can
be sure that our translators remain up to date and on the ball.
