How we work
When we receive your text:
First we analyse the text to make sure we understand it. Then we
ascertain the level of specialist knowledge required, the intended
use and the target group. We then clarify any terminology issues
and the style of language required. Finally we calculate the amount
of work involved and agree a delivery date.
The actual translation process:
We assign the document to the appropriate translator who produces
an initial draft and clarifies any unclear points or terminology
queries, which we check with the customer if necessary. We record
any comments or customer-specific terminology in our database. The
translator proofreads the translation and highlights any outstanding
queries for our quality control.
Quality control:
We iron out any remaining uncertainties; we proofread the whole
translation again, paying particular attention to accuracy (comprehension,
terminology, choice of words) and check the grammar, syntax and
appropriateness of the language (does the style suit the type of
document and its use); if necessary we liaise with the customer
again to ensure that the translation meets their, and their target
group’s, expectations.
We like to know what we are doing. And we like doing it.
